Names ETF Veteran Reed Williams as ESVP, National Sales Director
Washington, DC (March 23,
2018) – (Investorideas.com Newswire) SerenityShares
Investments, an exchange-traded
fund (“ETF”) sponsor, and leader in socially responsible impact ETFs, is
pleased to announce that Reed Williams, a 16-year ETF
veteran, has joined the firm as Executive Senior Vice President and National
Sales Director. Mr. Williams will be responsible
for defining and leading the execution of SerenityShares’ impact investing
sales strategy.
Most recently, Mr. Williams
spent more than 10 years with WisdomTree Investments, a leading global asset manager and pioneer of both smart
beta and actively managed ETF investing.
As one of the initial hires at WisdomTree, Reed, in a Regional Sales
Director role, was part of the team that grew that firm from a start-up with no
revenue to $60 billion in assets at its peak.
Scott Sacknoff, CEO of SerenityShares
said: “We are thrilled to have someone of Reed’s experience lead the sales
effort for SerenityShares. He participated in the creation of a leading ETF
sponsor and brings the knowledge and sales experience to communicate the
SerenityShares strategy to a broad audience of potential investors, which we expect will ultimately attract
significant assets to the firm.”
According to Reed Williams,
"I look at SerenityShares and truly see something special happening. I’m excited to partner with a firm whose
mission is to enable investors to positively impact society and the planet with their investments while seeking a
competitive return. Impact investing is a rapidly growing investment philosophy that addresses a
number of important needs from elder care to clean water to renewable energy. It’s also considered one
of the last untapped and un-commoditized spaces within the ETF industry. I’m looking forward to introducing potential
investors to SerenityShares’ methodology, with its focus on identifying companies
whose products and services target societal and environmental challenges.
This is a growing area of
investment emphasis and providing public equity solutions for investors is
key.”
“Reed is a veteran sales
executive with an exceptional track record,” said Kathy Neumann, president of
SerenityShares. “Like most firms, our success depends on finding the right
people to join our team and help propel us forward. We believe Reed's expertise
within the industry and his ability to focus on clients will play a significant
role in the firm’s continued growth.”
Reed started his career at
State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) in their Advisor Strategies Group, selling
the SPDR ETF family of offerings. He holds the certification and designation of
Certified Investment Management
Analyst (CIMA), sponsored by the Investments & Wealth Institute and the
Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
