Great Wines of Italy for Tasting

runs February 20-28, 2016 and features the International Festival Tasting Room
at the Vancouver Convention Centre, where over 700 wines are available for

The
Tasting Room was open on Thursday and will run through Friday, Saturday evening
and Saturday afternoon

theme this year is Italia with some of the great winemakers of Italy on hand to
talk about the art of making fine wines worthy of collecting.

winning Barolos.

Suckling¸ internationally acclaimed wine critic and journalist, describes the
Barolo Ginestra as “a powerful and rich red” awarding to it 93 points.
Located
in the Piedmont North West Italy, the winery was started in 1886, when Paolo
Conterno founded the Casa della Ginestra, dedicated to the production of
Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto wines.

available currently in BC.

Canada’s
premier wine show will mark its 38th edition of pairing wine, food and the
performing arts from February 20 to 28, 2016. The festival features Italy as
the theme country. The festival will showcase 156 wineries from 14 countries
(including 60 wineries from Italy) pouring 1,450+ wines at 55 events to a
projected 25,000 admissions. The Bacchanalia Gala Dinner + Auction open the
festival on Saturday, February 20 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The festival
