Screen Media Films Signs Award Winning Producer Chad A. Verdi and The Woodhaven Production Company to a Ten Picture Deal

EAST GREENWICH, RI - April 9, 2014 (Investorideas.com Newswire) The Woodhaven Production Company and Screen Media Films are proud to announce a new ten picture deal between the two companies starting with the film 'Almost Mercy'.

Chad Verdi and his wife Michelle, through their production companies, Verdi Productions and The Woodhaven Production Company have had great success over the last four years with producing, filming, and selling six feature films.
They are now embarking on arguably one of the most aggressive production schedules to date; four feature films in twelve months.
Verdi stated, "Michelle and I just finished Executive Production of our latest film in New York, titled BAD HURT and are currently in pre-production for Almost Mercy withfilming beginning in Rhode Island on April 28th. After the completion of Almost Mercy, we go right into pre-production on BLEED FOR THIS, with filming to commence September 2014. Next year, 2015, will start with a bang with an untitled project - filming starting in March."

The ten picture deal is exclusive of Verdi's passion project BLEED FOR THIS. The movie tells the true-life story of 5-time world champion Rhode Island boxer Vinny Pazienza, as he recovers from a near fatal car accident that left him with a broken neck. He then goes on to win three additional world boxing titles, one of the most incredible and dramatic comebacks in sports history.
Golden Globe nominated actor Aaron Eckhart (THE DARK KNIGHT, OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN, I, FRANKENSTEIN) will take on the role of Paz's boxing trainer, Kevin Rooney. Rooney was the trainer to Mike Tyson when Tyson won his first heavyweight championship. Rooney had a major role in changing Vinny's boxing style that led him to become one of only two boxers ever to win titles in both the lightweight and junior middle weight class in 1991. The other boxer was Roberto Duran whom Vinny fought twice (with Vinny victorious in both fights).
Miles Teller (THE FANTASTIC FOUR, 21 & OVER, PROJECT X, THAT AWKWARD MOMENT, THE SPECTACULAR NOW), currently starring in DIVERGENT, in theaters now, will take on the role of Vinny Paz.
